This is How to Spot a Fake Samsung Galaxy S III (Video)

Everything right down to the font and familiar rounded look is designed to fool uninitiated folks into purchasing a brick. There are a few hints — no box IMEI, a raised Samsung logo, fake back — that indicate you’ve received a bad unit, but otherwise it looks like what you’d buy at your favorite wireless store.
Samsung’s immensely popular Galaxy S III is currently the industry’s pride and joy, so it’s no surprise there are companies out there trying to manufacture fake units. This is just a cautionary tale to always get your gear from a source you trust, and closely investigate a device (like, say, from Craigslist) before buying.
